Arunabh Kumar (watch Pitchers) and Deepak Mishra, recognized for their contributions to TVF, are reportedly at the helm of a mythological thriller featuring Sidharth Malhotra and produced by Ekta Kapoor. The project's working title is Vvan, and its original concept along with its casting has already sparked interest among fans. Since the film's official announcement, speculation surrounding Malhotra's co-star has intensified. Furthermore, Pinkvilla has uncovered that the highly dramatic feature film has cast Tamannaah Bhatia as the female lead.

Vvan inspired by Hindu legends

Vvan draws from a folktale rooted in Hindu mythology, and according to sources close to the project, Tamannaah has confirmed her participation in the film. Tamannaah Bhatia has been in a signing whirlwind. Vvan, under the direction of Deepak Mishra (known for Humorously Yours), will be her subsequent film following Ranger, the Rakesh Maria biopic, and No Entry 2. An insider disclosed that filming is set to commence in June 2025 and that the movie is expected to debut in cinemas in 2026.

Fans of both actors are buzzing about their upcoming collaboration, as it's the first time Bhatia and Malhotra will share the screen. Sources tell the entertainment site that the role has a significant character development for the actor.

Another source stated that Tamannaah's character in the movie is remarkably well-crafted and provides numerous chances for acting.

The movie will predominantly occur in the actual forests of central India. The producers have begun scouting appropriate sites to film in order to realize the fantastical world of Vvan during the pre-production phase.

Tamannaah is eagerly anticipating entering the mythical realm situated in the heart of India. To prepare for the film, she will collaborate with Sidharth to refine her diction. Producers have already started the pre-production process to locate the wooded areas where Vvan will be filmed. An insider revealed that a forest has a crucial role in the film.

Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia have a packed schedule

Regarding his professional life, Malhotra is currently wrapping up the filming of Param Sundari, which is produced by Dinesh Vijan. Following that, he will begin shooting Vvan before progressing to his next project with Mahaveer Jain, directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa. He is involved in Race 4 alongside Saif Ali Khan and is currently in discussions to feature in filmmaker Saran Sharma’s upcoming film under Karan Johar’s production.
