Taaza Khabar season 2, out on Disney+Hotstar, explores Vasya's story further. The season sees Bhuvan Bam's character go through a blessing and curse at the same time, again. He has to pay for his past deeds to have a new beginning, but can he overcome the curse? Here's what the Taaza Khabar 2 ending suggests...
Taaza Khabar season 2 ending - Has Vasya let go of his curse?
Vasya's story began when he started receiving breaking news on his phone, before anybody else. Now that he will welcome a mini version of himself soon with Madhu (Shriya Pilgaonkar), Vasya wants to make things right and earn an honest living. Thus, he throws away the root cause of his problems - his phone. Vasya throws his phone off the cliff in hopes of getting rid of it, and so the curse. So, did he?
Will Vasya retrieve his phone?
Right before throwing off his prized possession, i.e., his phone, Vasya got a lot of notifications. This is most likely his mind playing games, for a part of Vasya would not want his opportunity to get rich to go to waste. He somehow overcame the thoughts and threw the phone off the cliff. But, there was more.
The phone did not fall off the cliff. It is stuck in between two branches of a tree. What’s more, Vasya has for the first time got a call from the app called Taaza Khabar. If Vasya wishes to, he can retrieve the phone without too much of a hassle. Whether he will or not, that would decide if there will be a new season of Taaza Khabar.
Is the threat lurking around Vasya finally over?
Vasya faced his biggest threat in the form of Yusuf (Jaaved Jaaferi). During their fight, Vasya asked Yusuf to choose between dying by a gun or a knife. However, at the same time, Vasya's conscience stopped him from taking on more bad karma. The woman who blessed him came to his subconscious to remind him that his situation could turn for better or worse. "Yahi tumhaara vardaan hai aur yahi tumhaara shraap hai," she had told him.
Vasya's late father had also told him that a loser would come around and put a bullet through him someday. Now that Bhuvan was holding the gun to Yusuf's head, the real question is, did he really pull the trigger? There was no sound either suggesting that Yusuf might have finally died. Before dying, although Yusuf did mention that he forgives all of Vasya's debt, he eventually is Yusuf. Like Vasya, he might have gotten out of the rubble and could be hiding until the right time to bounce back. So, the threat around Vasya might still not be over. If Yusuf is back, Vasya will have to go back and get his phone to be able to earn more money. Things have surely ended on an interesting note, but was it really the end? We'll just have to wait to find out.
