Taapsee Pannu has reunited with dynamic writer Kanika Dhillon for an action thriller. After working on Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, the actor-writer duo has joined hands for a movie called Gandhari. Taapsee's character in Gandhari is completely different from her role of Rani Kashyap in Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba. Interestingly, Taapsee and Kanika's new film will also premiere on Netflix. The streaming platform made an official announcement about the same.

Taapsee-Kanika reunite for Gandhari

The streaming platform announced Gandhari with a voiceover by Taapsee Pannu. In the first glimpse, the actress talks about how a mother's blessings are always with her child but 'jab uski bacchi par aati hain, toh kaali bhi wohi banti hain." Without any further ado, check out Gandhari's announcement video below:

Sharing this Instagram post, the streamer wrote, "The Hasseen writer-actor duo is back Kanika Dhillon and Taapsee Pannu return with an action thriller. Gandhari arrives soon, only on Netflix (sic)."

In an official statement, Taapsee said she and Kanika are venturing into new emotional depths with their Netflix film Gandhari. The actress said she is thrilled to play the intense character of a fierce mother in the movie. "I did action 9 years ago, and I've been waiting for a script that would bring me back to it and challenge me in new ways," she said.

The actress added that she was hunting for something deeper after playing a spy. And Gandhari's powerful story of a mother driven by revenge seemed a perfect fit for Taapsee.
