Sweetheart, the Tamil romantic drama which released in March, is now available for streaming on JioHotstar. The film stars Rio Raj and Gopika Ramesh in the lead roles, and produced by composer Yuvan Shankar Raja who has earlier backed films like Maamanithan and Pyaar Prema Kaadhal .

Sweetheart is the newest Tamil film available for streaming on JioHotstar, now accessible in multiple languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. The film features Rio Raj and Gopika Ramesh in the leading roles and is a romantic drama that marks the directorial debut of Swineeth S. Sukumar, who also wrote the screenplay.

The narrative unfolds in a non-linear fashion, focusing on a love story intertwined with an unexpected pre-marital pregnancy, which triggers a series of challenges for the main characters. While the female lead faces restrictions from her family, who are unaware of her situation, the male lead must secretly meet her to discuss their predicament and seek a resolution. In addition to producing the film, Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the music.

The supporting cast includes Renji Panicker, Redin Kingsley, Arunachaleswaran Pa, Fouziee, Suresh Chakravarthy, among others. The cinematography was handled by Balaji Subramanyam, with editing by Tamil Arasan. Sweetheart received mixed reviews from audiences upon its release.
