Today, on 16th June 2024, India celebrates Father's Day. On this special day, ZEE5 celebrates it with a special poster honoring Veer Savarkar. Randeep Hooda starrer Swatantrya Veer Savarkar is currently streaming on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium, The film was released in theatres on 22 March and started streaming on digital platforms on May 28.

Directed by Hooda, Swatantrya Veer Savarkar is a biopic showcasing the compelling portrayal of the Indian freedom fighter, Veer Savarkar. In an interview with Filmibeat, Randeep shared which scene holds a special place in his heart from the film. He said, "There is a scene in the movie where Savarkar Ji and a jailer are on the terrace that I like. In that scene, they talk about humanity."

He further revealed that there's another scene that holds a special place in his heart where Gandhi Ji and Savarkar Ji talk. He added, "That's a recorded conversation between them, it's completely factual. In that conversation, the audience can see that there's a different point of view of Gandhi Ji, which is absolutely correct, and there is also a different point of view of Savarkar Ji. There's a clash of opinions that I really like."

Besides Randeep Hooda as Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, the film also stars Ankita Lokhande as Yamuna Bai, Apinderdeep Singh as Harnam Singh, and Amit Sial as Babarao Savarkar, among others.
