Starring Randeep Hooda and Ankita Lokhande, the drama and action thriller Swatantrya Veer Savarkar was released in theaters on March 22, 2024. The film did not do well at the box office and then was released on OTT on May 28, 2024. The film is currently streaming on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium. Hooda's performance earned high praise from fans and critics alike. Now, the makers have released an exciting promo from the film which reveals that one revolutionary had motivated another!

Sharing a new promo that features Veer Savarkar and Subash Chandra Bose, it has been revealed that Bose was inspired by Savarkar. The promo is captioned - "One revolutionary motivating another! Watch how #SwatantryaVeerSavarkar inspired Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Now streaming, only on ZEE5."

What is the story of Swatantrya Veer Savarkar?

The narrative of the film revolves around the life of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, played by Randeep Hooda, from the early 1900s till his death. Veer Savarkar created ripples with his strong thoughts on 'Abhinav Bharat'. He also wrote a book on India's revolt of 1857. Savarkar soon becomes one of the most powerful revolutionary forces among Indians across the globe, and consequently becomes the most wanted man for the Brits.

Earlier, in an interview with Siddharth Kanan, Randeep Hooda spoke on receiving no support from Bollywood. “What support am I even supposed to ask for? Everybody’s busy with their own work. The industry isn’t some animal. It’s a large entity. I’m also a part of it. A lot of people guided me on this project, a lot of my old directors. So, I don’t understand what help I’m supposed to ask for”, he said.
