With just two days left for the release of Suriya-starrer Kanguva, the actor has been going on full throttle to promote the film, along with the team. In an event conducted in Mumbai on Tuesday, November 12, Suriya, director Siva, and others took part and addressed the media.

Suriya on Kanguva being an Indian film

Actor Suriya along with his team was in Mumbai, promoting their film Kanguva as part of the last leg of promotion. Speaking to the media, Suriya who first apologized for being late for the event, said, “Kanguva has been a special journey for me, and it feels like a responsibility to give back an epic film, a big film and experience film, which we can watch. I think everybody from different states is part of the film and we call it an Indian film, hopefully, it will be a global watch as well. It is our baby and we need all your love and support.”

Kanguva is directed by Siruthai Siva in his maiden collaboration with the actor. Disha Patani and Bobby Deol will be making their Tamil debuts with Kanguva. Spanning across ages, Kanguva is billed to be a period fantasy film with Suriya appearing in dual roles. Yogi Babu, Natarajan Subramaniam, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, K. S. Ravikumar, and others are part of the cast.

The film has music by Devi Sri Prasad, with Vetri Palanisamy cranking the camera. Nishadh Yusuf has handled the edits. The film has been censored U/A, making it suitable for all age groups to watch the film and children with adult supervision. Kanguva has a runtime of two hours and 34 minutes.

The post-theatrical streaming rights of the film have been bagged by Prime Video. The film will soon stream on the platform after it finishes the theatrical run. The rights have been sold for a whopping price of Rs. 100 crore. The audience can expect Kanguva OTT release, around 40 days after the film’s theatrical release.
