Suriya is currently on a signing spree, and has some exciting projects in his kitty. The National Award-winning actor, who is gearing up for the grand release of Kanguva, recently wrapped up the filming of Suriya 44. Recently, the popular star took to his official social media handles and confirmed his collaboration with actor-director RJ Balaji, for his upcoming 45th film. The movie, tentatively titled Suriya 45, is reportedly set to start rolling immediately after the actor wraps up the Kanguva promotions.
Is Suriya 45 an action-adventure film?
The Suriya 45 announcement poster garnered the attention of cine-goers with its symbolic representation. The poster showcases a set of billhook machetes adorned with auspicious vibhuti and vermillion marks, and small bells. In the middle, a ‘Vel’ aka spear (the sacred weapon of Hindu God Muruga) is seen with a red scarf on it, while a white horse is also seen in the backdrop. The netizens, who decoded the poster, suggest that the movie narrates a story rooted in Tamil culture.
The netizens suggest that Suriya could be playing the central character, represented by the ‘Vel’. As per the recent updates, Suriya 45 is an action-adventure film, which could be set in a different timeline. The RJ Balaji directorial is reportedly being made on a massive scale. The writer-director reportedly took over a year to finish the scripting of the film.
Suriya 45 to start rolling in November 2024?
If the recent updates are to be believed, the filming of the highly anticipated project will begin by the third week of November 2024. Suriya is expected to join the project, immediately after wrapping up the promotions of the upcoming Siva directorial Kanguva. AR Rahman, the Academy Award-winning musician has been roped in to compose the songs and original score for Suriya 45. The team is yet to finalise the female lead and the rest of the star cast of the film, which is bankrolled by Dream Warrior Pictures.
