Excel Entertainment, Tiger Baby, and Amazon MGM Studios have unveiled the official trailer for their forthcoming original film, Superboys of Malegaon. This film, inspired by a true story, is set in the quaint village of Malegaon in Maharashtra. It chronicles the journey of Nasir Shaikh, an aspiring filmmaker, along with his companions as they breathe new life into the town, transforming it into a hub of cinematic passion. The production team includes notable figures such as Ritesh Sidhwani, Zoya Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar, and Reema Kagti. The film is directed by Reema Kagti, with the screenplay penned by Varun Grover. The cast features Adarsh Gourav, Shashank Arora, Vineet Kumar Singh, Anuj Singh Duhan, Saqib Ayub, Pallav Singh, Manjiri Pupala, Muskkaan Jaferi, and Riddhi Kumar, among others. The world premiere of the film is scheduled to take place across cinemas in India, the United States, the United Kingdom, the UAE, Australia, and New Zealand on February 28.

During its global debut in September 2024 at the 49th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), the film was greeted with a standing ovation. It was recognized as an audience favourite in the Young Cineaste category at the 36th Palm Springs International Film Festival and left a lasting impression on viewers at both the 68th BFI London Film Festival and the 4th Red Sea Film Festival. This comedy-drama has enchanted both audiences and critics alike with its compelling narrative, deep emotional resonance, and exceptional storytelling.
