The accomplished actor Adarsh Gourav is poised to return to the silver screen after an eight-year hiatus with the film Superboys of Malegaon. Directed by Reema Kagti, this highly anticipated movie is set to be released in theatres on February 28, 2025. In Superboys of Malegaon, Gourav will take on the character of Nasir Shaikh, a real-life filmmaker from Malegaon renowned for his parodies of Bollywood and Hollywood productions. In anticipation of the film's release, Adarsh shared insights about the storyline and conveyed his enthusiasm for his forthcoming return to the theatrical realm.

In a conversation with, Adarsh Gourav expressed his thoughts on Superboys of Malegaon. He remarked on the joy of having a theatrical release after eight years, noting the unique allure of the big screen. 

"When I first encountered the narrative and discovered Nasir Shaikh’s journey, I was immediately captivated. The film industry in Malegaon possesses a distinctive charm, fueled solely by passion, and immersing myself in this world as Nasir has been one of the most thrilling experiences of my career. Superboys of Malegaon is not merely a film; it is a tribute to cinema crafted with sincerity and humour. I eagerly await the audience's reaction when they see it in theatres on February 28, 2025," he stated.

He also mentioned that from 2017 to the present, he has participated in projects such as The White Tiger, Extrapolations, Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, and web series like Guns & Gulaabs and Leila. Notably, all of these productions were made available on OTT or digital platforms.

"Although I truly appreciate the extensive reach of digital platforms, there is a unique experience in witnessing a narrative develop on the big screen, sharing the audience's reactions, and experiencing that collective energy, which makes it particularly memorable," he remarked.

Meanwhile, produced by Zoya Akhtar and Excel Entertainment and directed by the visionary Reema Kagti, the film Adarsh Gourav, Vineet Kumar Singh, Shashank Arora and Anuj Singh Duhan. It will be released on the big screen on February 28, 2025, and on Amazon Prime Video once it ends its theatrical run.
