The makers of Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari have cracked a casting coup by roping in several actors together for a romantic comedy. Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor lead the film, with Akshay Oberoi, Sanya Malhotra, and Rohit Saraf joining them. It's a known fact that actors talk about working on an ensemble film bringing so much pleasure that one hardly notices it's happening.
Udaipur filming schedule kicks off
According to the most recent reports in Mid Day, the cast of Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is totally in agreement over that. Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, and Shashank Khaitan have travelled to Udaipur after launching his directing endeavour in Mumbai in May.
In an interview with the tabloid, Akshay Oberoi revealed that the continuing schedule has been enjoyable. The actor shared that the set life, with all the merriment and camaraderie, is something that everybody can picture. He is really enjoying it.
Ensemble filming in Rajasthan
Supposedly, Khaitan had planned to film the most of the combo scenes over the course of three weeks in Rajasthan. After that, the unit would return to Mumbai for another schedule. Oberoi maintains that his experience in Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari has further strengthened his belief in ensemble films.
Those flicks from the 1980s starring Vinod Khanna, Jackie Shroff, and Anil Kapoor are still fresh in his mind. People flocked to those films because of their diverse characters. According to Oberoi, the fact that no one character has to carry the entire film is an additional perk. He concluded by advocating for the creation of more ensemble films that showcase the collaboration of people's favourite actors.
Maniesh Paul joins the A-list cast
Earlier, a source in Pinkvilla reported that the film is a family-friendly romantic comedy, akin to Khaitan's previous work. Maniesh Paul has joined the film as an additional member of the A-list cast. He previously collaborated with Dharma Productions on the 2022 film Jugjugg Jeeyo.
Karan Johar's Dharma Productions produces the film, which will premiere in theaters on April 18, 2025.
