Following the tremendous success of Gadar 2, Sunny Deol is preparing to appear in Gopichand Malineni's upcoming film, Jaat. The trailer for the movie was unveiled on March 24, and it has since attracted significant interest. This film, featuring Sunny Deol, is anticipated to be one of his most prominent action projects. Prior to its release, Sunny shared insights into the factors that contributed to Gadar 2's blockbuster status and confessed that he felt apprehensive about creating the sequel.

In a discussion with Komal Nahta, Sunny Deol expressed his genuine apprehension about creating Gadar 2, noting that the original film held a unique warmth and charm that resonated deeply with audiences. He remarked, "I was concerned that if I proceeded with a sequel and it did not meet expectations, the cherished essence that people loved could be compromised."

The actor expressed that he struggled to overcome that fear. "However, upon hearing the story… The positive aspect of the film is that we remained faithful to the original characters and the same time period, presenting it with complete assurance. We avoided excessive modernization… as that would have led to failure," Sunny remarked.

About Jaat

Jaat is an action film helmed by director Gopichand Malineni. The cast includes Sunny Deol, Randeep Hooda, Vineet Kumar Singh, Saiyami Kher, and Regina Cassandra. The narrative centers on a man who embarks on a quest for vengeance after a merciless antagonist devastates his family and village.

The trailer for Jaat features Randeep Hooda portraying a villainous figure reminiscent of Ravana, who exerts control over the entire village. The character declares, "No one can enter this Lanka," adding, "Even the gods fear to approach this Lanka." Subsequently, Sunny Deol makes his entrance as 'Jaat,' ready to confront the situation.

Jaat boasts an impressive ensemble cast featuring Sunny Deol, Randeep Hooda, Vineet Kumar Singh, among others in key roles. The film is produced by prominent production companies, Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory. The captivating music is crafted by the renowned Thaman S, while Rishi Punjabi is responsible for cinematography, Navin Nooli manages the editing, and Avinash Kolla oversees production design.

Additionally, Jaat is set to premiere in theaters on April 10, 2025.
