Recently, the producers of Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming project revealed the title SK 25 as Parasakthi. This title is inspired by the 1952 Tamil film of the same name and is directed by Sudha Kongara, featuring Ravi Mohan, Atharva Murali, and Sreeleela in significant roles.

The film is centered around themes of anti-oppression and was initially intended for actor Suriya. Below is a detailed overview of the plot of Parasakthi.

Parasakthi marks the first collaboration between Sivakarthikeyan and Sudha Kongara, following Suriya's departure from the project for undisclosed reasons. Sudha Kongara subsequently chose to continue the film with Sivakarthikeyan.

According to recent reports, Parasakthi is set in the year 1965 and will address the anti-Hindi agitations that occurred in Tamil Nadu. The narrative follows a young man who, after witnessing a loved one suffer due to their courageous stance against language imposition, sparks a revolution against a corrupt politician complicit in linguistic oppression.

As indicated in the teaser, Ravi Mohan is expected to portray the main antagonist, marking the first on-screen confrontation between him and Sivakarthikeyan. Atharvaa and Sreeleela also play crucial roles, and Parasakthi is anticipated to further elevate Sivakarthikeyan's career.

The film's release date has yet to be announced by the producers. Currently, Sivakarthikeyan is collaborating with AR Murugadoss on SK 23, alongside Rukmini Vasanth.

Produced by Dawn Pictures, Parasakthi features music composed by GV Prakash Kumar. It is noteworthy that the title faced controversy when Vijay Antony announced a Telugu film titled Parashakthi. However, after discussions, the music director-actor allowed Dawn Pictures to retain the impactful title.
