Game Changer Advance Booking: The entertainment industry has been closely monitoring the box office performance of Pushpa 2: The Rule, which is striving to surpass Dangal, the highest-grossing Indian film of all time. However, following a 65% decline in ticket sales on Monday, the film now encounters competition from another southern production directed by Shankar. This upcoming project, titled Game Changer, features the talented Ram Charan, known for his role in RRR, alongside the renowned Kiara Advani. The film is highly anticipated and is scheduled for release on January 10, 2025. The initial advance booking figures indicate a promising start.

Game Changer Advance Bookings

Game Changer is reported to have recouped a significant portion of its investment prior to its release, with advance bookings for the film featuring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani appearing quite promising. According to Sacnilk, the gross advance bookings in India have reached approximately ₹50 lakh as of January 7. With three days remaining until the film's debut, it is reasonable to anticipate that the opening will be strong. The film's future performance will largely hinge on its content and the effectiveness of word-of-mouth promotion. Additionally, the momentum for Pushpa 2 has diminished, as it has now entered a phase of minimal collections after experiencing substantial success for a month.

In terms of advance bookings in international markets, Game Changer is generating considerable excitement in North America as well. Reports indicate that the film has achieved advance ticket sales of $575,000 for its premieres in the U.S. To date, over 20,000 tickets have been sold across 1,409 shows in 468 locations throughout the country. These figures are anticipated to increase significantly in the coming three days.

The Telangana Tug of War

In India, the government of Andhra Pradesh has approved an increase in ticket prices for the film Game Changer and has granted the necessary permissions for its benefit shows. In contrast, the Telangana government has not yet made a decision regarding the potential rise in ticket prices for the Shankar-directed film or the authorization of benefit shows. Producer Dil Raju has made a formal request to the Telangana government, but a resolution has not been reached.

This situation follows a recent statement from the Chief Minister of Telangana, who declared that he would prohibit benefit shows for films within the state and any increases in ticket prices. This decision was made in the wake of the stampede during the early screening of Pushpa 2: The Rule at Sandhya Theatre. It remains uncertain whether the Chief Minister will acquiesce to Dil Raju's request, as doing so could contradict his earlier assertions.

Game Changer hits the big screen on January 10, 2025. Stay tuned to Mobile Masala for more updates on this and everything else from the world of streaming and films.
