For instance, Vrott is gearing up for the release of the French comedy drama, Striking the Palace, that was released earlier this year in France. You can also watch all these international movies through OTTplay Premium.
When to watch Striking the Palace?
Released in June, the comedy film is ready to release in India on October 10, 2024, only on Vrott. You can also watch the 1-hour-45-minute movie in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages.
What's the plot of Striking the Palace?
In the heart of Paris, a young woman named Eva (Lucie Charles-Alfred), finds herself at crossroads. Living in a hotel for foster care alumni, she lands a temporary job at a prestigious palace hotel, replacing a striking chambermaid.
As Eva navigates this new world, she forms strong bonds with the dynamic housekeeping team, comprising Safietou, Violette, Aïssata, and the incomparable Simone. Together they face the harsh realities of their job, including second-class status, precarious contracts, and lack of basic rights.
As things become intolerable, Eva and her newfound family must confront difficult choices and fight for dignity.
What does the trailer show?
The trailer begins with quirky background music and with the introduction of Eva, as she enters the world of hoteliers. A fellow employee at the Palace Hotel is seen informing her about her job and her work schedule while showing her every corner of the hotel.
Soon she gets introduced to the housekeeping teams of women, who are quite sarcastic, and never miss a chance to throw nasty comments at her. Eva soon gets lessons on how to clean rooms, bathrooms, and bedsheets and everything. And this helped her to bond with the team easily. Next the 1-minute-48-second video shows their struggles to cope with the job, each team member’s personal ups and downs, and the great friendship between them. Striking the Palace is surely going to give you some chill-out moments.
