Six years after Stree's release, the makers are ready for the film's second installment. Titled Stree 2, the Amar Kaushik directorial will mark Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee's return to the horror comedy universe. After releasing Stree 2's teaser with Munjya's theatrical release, the trailer for the movie is set to be released on July 18. Before that, the makers dropped new posters of Shraddha and 'India's most loved gang' from the Stree universe.

Stree 2 new posters

Maddock Films posted brand new posters for Stree 2 on Instagram. It features Shraddha Kapoor with her co-stars Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti, Pankaj Tripathi, and Abhishek. The posters for Stree 2 highlight a specific line: 'Sarkate ka aatank'. And this has left everyone curious about the twists and turns in the horror comedy film. While sharing the posters on Instagram, the makers wrote, "India’s most loved gang is back with Stree, aapko darane aur hasaane! Stree2 Trailer Out Tomorrow! The legend returns this Independence Day, 15th August, 2024 (sic)."

For those who are unaware, the 2018 film Stree revolved around the story of a female ghost who abducts men during a festive season. Produced by Maddock Films, Stree is a part of the horror comedy universe, which includes Bhediya, Munjya, and Roohi.

Stree 2's box office clash

Meanwhile, Amar Kaushik's horror comedy film Stree 2 is headed for a box office clash with two Bollywood movies on August 15, 2024 (Independence Day). The Shraddha Kapoor film will lock horns with Akshay Kumar and Taapsee Pannu's Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham's Vedaa. It remains to be seen which movie will emerge as a box office winner.
