Stree 2 box office collection Day 5: Shraddha Kapoor starrer earns Rs. 228 crore, becomes the highest grossing Hindi film of 2024

Stree 2, the sequel to the 2018 film Stree, has defied expectations and surged to the top of the box office. In just five days, it has outperformed its competitors like Akshay Kumar's Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham's Vedaa, and is setting new records each day. As Stree 2 crossed the 200-crore mark on its fifth day, it finds itself on the verge of surpassing Hrithik Roshan's Fighter now, which was ruling the throne of highest grossing film of 2024 till now.

The horror comedy film collected a staggering Rs. 51.8 crores on its opening day, followed by Rs. 31.4 crores on its second day, Rs. 43.85 crores on its third day, and Rs. 55.9 crores on its fourth day. On its first Monday, the film added another Rs. 37 crores on its fifth day, making its total collection Rs. 228.45 crores till now. According to Sacnilk, Stree 2 has become one of the highest grossing Hindi films of all time within just five days!
Stree 2 inches closer to beat Fighter
Previously we have discussed how box office expertise have predicted that the horror comedy might surpass Hrithik Roshan's Fighter, which is currently holding the place of the highest grossing film of 2024 with a lifetime collection of Rs. 237 crores, and now it turns out ot be true. The most remarkable part about Street 2 is, this triumph has been achieved by the film within just five days of its release.
Now all eyes are on the horror comedy’s beating Prabhas-starrer Kalki 2898 AD’s Hindi box office collection, which was Rs. 294.25 crores.
Stree 2 plot
In the original one we got to watch a female superma entity kidnapping young men at night night in Chanderi. This time, after a long seven years, another spine-chilling horror has emerged in the town, where this new spirit is headless and is targeting the young women under the cloak of night. Stree, the enigmatic protector of Chanderi, has been drawn back to fight with this new threat.
Once again Vicky (Rajkummar Rao), along with his friends Rudra (Pankaj Tripathi), Jana (Abhishek Banerjee) and Bittu (Aparshakti Khurana), reunite to defend their birth town. The interesting part is, the mysterious woman (Shraddha Kapoor) also joined them take part in rescuing the women, and bring justice to the town.
