Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's film Stree 2 is unstoppable at the box office! The horror-comedy film has shattered several box office records since its theatrical release on August 15, 2024. Over a month after its release, Stree 2 has created history at the box office. Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 is now India's no.1 Hindi film. It has surpassed the lifetime collection of Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan (Hindi version).

Maddock Films shared an update about Stree 2's major box office success. The production house revealed that Shraddha and Rajkummar's film is now India's no. 1 Hindi film. In the fifth week of its theatrical run, Stree 2 earned Rs 586 crore in India. It shattered the record of SRK's Jawan which collected Rs 582.31 crore in its Hindi version.

While sharing the big update, the Stree 2 producers mentioned, "Woh Stree hai aur usne aakhir kar dikhaya... Hindustan ki sab se sarvashresth No. 1 Hindi film of all time!!! Yeh itihaas humare saath rachane ke liye sab fans ko bahut bahut dhanyavaad... (sic)."

Aparshakti Khurana on Stree 2's box office success

In an interview with OTTplay, Aparshakti opened up about the spectacular success of his film Stree 2. The actor said, "Me or anybody else attached to the film if we say that we expected these humongous numbers, we will be lying of course. We enjoyed a lot on set and knew this would work. But ye numbers.... some divine intervention has to happen for any film to reach here."

Where to watch Stree 2 on OTT?

Meanwhile, Stree 2 will drop on Amazon Prime Video once its theatrical run ends. The Amar Kaushik directorial might premiere on September 27 but with a twist. It's being said that the horror-comedy film will be made available for rent on the platform next Friday. However, there's no confirmation from the makers yet.
