When Sakshi returns home, she finds her daughter missing and, in her desperation, seeks help from Inspector Samar. Their search leads them back to the village Sakshi had sworn never to revisit, where they confront long-buried terrors hidden within the intricate sugarcane fields. As a sinister force keeps them apart, Sakshi encounters someone she thought was dead, only to find them unconscious. The local villagers worship a malevolent deity in an underground cave, where Sakshi regains consciousness. In three days, the shape-shifting priestess Daasi is set to perform a ritual involving Ishani's sacrifice. To save her daughter, Sakshi must disrupt the ceremony without delay.
Chhaava – April 11 (Netflix)
Chhaava is a historical action film featuring Vicky Kaushal in the role of Sambhaji Maharaj, the second ruler of the Maratha Empire. The film is produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films and directed by Laxman Utekar. It draws inspiration from the Marathi novel "Chhava" written by Shivaji Sawant. The cast also includes Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna.
Upon learning of Shivaji Maharaj's demise, Aurangzeb of the Mughal Empire mistakenly believes this marks the end of the Maratha Empire and declares a celebration. The Mughals, feeling secure in their dominance, are unaware that this apparent peace is merely a prelude to impending conflict. Under the command of Sambhaji Maharaj (Chhaava), Shivaji Maharaj's son, the Marathas launch an assault on Burhanpur, the Mughal capital. Following the city's destruction, Aurangzeb realizes that Shivaji's legacy continues through his son. Yesubai, Sambhaji's wife, joyfully welcomes him back. However, Sambhaji faces treachery from his stepmother Soyrabai and her brothers, who are conspiring to place her son Rajaram on the throne. As Sambhaji approaches Burhanpur, Aurangzeb vows not to wear the crown until he defeats Sambhaji and unleashes chaos across Maharashtra. Meanwhile, Sambhaji learns of Soyrabai's conspiracy from Aurangzeb's son, Baadshah Akbar, and pledges to protect his legacy from the Mughals. The Mughals find themselves humiliated each time they confront Sambhaji, while Aurangzeb, as he ages, remains fixated on reclaiming his authority.
