Girish AD’s film Premalu, featuring Naslen and Mamitha Baiju, quickly won over audiences with its clever dialogues and lovable characters. What’s even more surprising is that the Malayalam movie gained a lot of fans in Telugu regions too, with none other than SS Rajamouli giving it a shout-out. The film was also dubbed in Telugu and made its way to those audiences.

Now, just a few months after Premalu hit the screens, Girish AD is back with another project called I Am Kathalan, once again starring Naslen. As I Am Kathalan prepares for its OTT debut, the big question is: will it be available in Telugu? Keep reading to find out!

Is I Am Kathalan available for streaming in Telugu?

Girish AD took a turn from the light-hearted rom-com Premalu to dive into the cyber-thriller genre with I Am Kathalan, featuring Naslen in the lead role. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite hit the mark like Premalu did. The film is now gearing up for its OTT debut on Manorama Max, and you can also catch it on OTTplay Premium. But here’s the bummer for Telugu fans: the Premalu team’s cyber-thriller won’t be available in Telugu on Manorama Max, which mainly focuses on Malayalam content.

There’s definitely some optimism since I Am Kathalan might eventually get dubbed and show up on Telugu platforms like Aha or ETV Win. Aha has been on a roll lately, picking up the rights to Malayalam films and streaming them on their OTT service.

Films like Malik, Dhoomam, and Athiran, featuring Fahadh Faasil, have already been dubbed into Telugu and are up on Aha. Tovino Thomas’ Naradan, Bhargavi Nilayam, and Forensic are also available in Telugu-dubbed versions. That said, these films didn’t land on Aha right away; it took about eight months to a year for them to start streaming in Telugu.

I Am Kathalan

I Am Kathalan is a cyber-thriller that centers around Vishnu, who takes matters into his own hands by hacking into his girlfriend’s dad's company to get revenge. The film, featuring Naslen, is pretty captivating and worth checking out at least once.

In addition to Naslen, the cast includes Anishma Anilkumar, Lijomol Jose, and Dileesh Pothan, along with Vineeth Vasudevan and Sajin Cherukayil in important roles.
