The slow period in Kannada cinema isn't finished yet, especially with the IPL still happening. Smaller films are making their way to theaters, but many of them aren't being promoted at all, leaving audiences in the dark about the new Kannada movies showing in cinemas.

Nimde Kathe

In Raghavendra Raj's film, Vikram (played by Abhilash Dalapathy) is an insurance manager who finds himself in a whirlwind of funny and serious scenarios due to his own choices, which ultimately drive him to progress in life. The cast includes Rashika Shetty, Reshma V Gowda, Manohar Gowda, and Sihi Kahi Chandru.

Director Ashwin Kumar's animated feature showcases Lord Vishnu's Narsimha, a unique half-lion, half-man avatar, as he battles the demon Hiranyakashyap. Hombale Films is bringing this film to theaters.

Kaafir

A film adaptation of the 2019 8-part web series, directed by Sonam Nair and featuring Dia Mirza and Mohit Raina, is in the works. The story, inspired by real events, follows a woman from Pakistan-administered Kashmir who finds herself on the Indian side of the Line of Control (LOC) and is imprisoned on suspicions of being a militant. After spending seven years behind bars, she receives assistance from an Indian journalist in her quest for justice.
