It explores themes of urban isolation, the impact of capitalism, and a deep yearning for their homeland.

Initially, the film had a limited release in Kerala before its global debut. For those who were unable to view it in theatres, All We Imagine As Light is now available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar, presented in Malayalam with English subtitles.

This film has garnered significant critical acclaim, emerging as one of the standout films of 2024. It made its debut at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, where it received a nomination for the prestigious Palme d'Or. Ultimately, it won the Grand Prix, marking it as the second Indian film to achieve this honour, following Swaham in 1994.
