Following the suspenseful conclusion of Season 4, anticipation for the fifth and final season of Stranger Things has surged dramatically, particularly after Netflix unveiled a captivating teaser poster on January 30, 2025. This poster suggests a significant focus on Millie Bobby Brown's character, Jane Hopper, who is widely recognized as Eleven.

Stranger Things season 5 new poster

On Thursday, Netflix utilized Instagram to unveil a poster indicating that Millie’s character, Eleven, is missing. The poster noted that she was last observed “wearing a hooded jacket, walking alone in the vicinity of Hawkins High School on 13 June 1986.” Additionally, it stated: “A reward of $3,000.00 will be offered for any information leading to the discovery of Jane Hopper or her remains. She was last seen walking along the sidewalk near Hawkins High School, where she inexplicably vanished that afternoon, 13 June 1986. Please contact the Hawkins Police Department with any information regarding her whereabouts.”

The platform shared the poster with the caption, "Who’s truly searching for Jane Hopper? You are unprepared for what awaits in Stranger Things 5." Given that Eleven reunited with the Byers family, the Wheeler family, and Jim Hopper in Hawkins during the concluding moments of Season 4, the notion of Millie Bobby Brown’s character being “missing” is unexpected.

In November 2024, Netflix disclosed the titles for the eight episodes of the upcoming season. The second episode is titled "The Vanishing of..." Although the complete title has not been unveiled, it seems to echo the series' inaugural episode, "Chapter One: The Vanishing of Will Byers," with Will now substituted by Jane Hopper.

The teaser poster elicited a swift response online. One user remarked, "We know this season will BREAK US." Another stated, "A thousand years later, just release the show so we can finally move on." A third comment expressed, "We’re not ready?! IT’S BEEN 3 YEARS, NETFLIX. I’m uncertain how much more prepared we could possibly be."
