There’s no stopping the excitement now—the anticipation has reached new heights as Netflix just dropped a teaser for Stranger Things Season 5. Yes, you read that right! In a recent announcement, the streamer released a teaser that offers a glimpse into what we can expect from the new season, and fans have plenty to dissect as the official episode titles have also been revealed. What has left viewers most curious is the title of the final episode, The Right Side Up, which seems to hint at a significant shift in the show’s narrative.

For those who may not know, Stranger Things Season 5 is one of the most eagerly awaited shows worldwide. The new season will bring back the beloved cast, including Millie Bobby Brown, Sadie Sink, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, David Harbour, Joe Keery, and Winona Ryder, along with other recurring actors. Netflix has confirmed that this will be the final season of the series, and it will premiere in 2025, putting to rest previous rumors of a 2026 release. Series creators Matt and Ross Duffer previously shared with Tudum that back in Season 1, they wrote a 25-page mythology document for Netflix that dives into the lore of the Upside Down. "We had a good understanding of the Upside Down, but we wanted it to remain mysterious,” Matt Duffer explained. “But Netflix insisted, ‘Could you write it all down?’ And so, we did."

While viewers learned a lot about the Upside Down in Season 4, there’s still more to uncover in Season 5. “The last few questions we answered in that document have some big reveals saved for Season 5,” said Ross Duffer during Geeked Week in June 2022. “And those answers will significantly shape what the final season is about.”
