Tamil production banner Vels Film International announced a new Tamil film on Monday. Titled Aghathiyaa, the film stars Jiiva in the lead role. The first look poster featuring the important cast members of the film was also released by the makers.

The first look poster of Aghathiyaa, the upcoming Tamil film starring actor Jiiva in the lead role, was released by the makers on social media on Monday. The first look shows Jiiva along with the prominent cast members of the film along with a tunnel. "A Battle to Unbury The Mystery! A Journey to Redeem the Lost Glory." reads the poster's caption. The tagline Angels VS Devil is present. The film is written and directed by Pa Vijay.

The film is produced by Dr Ishari K Ganesh and Aneesh Arjun Dev. Besides Jiiva, the film also features a star ensemble including Arjun Sarja, Raashii Khanna, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Reddin Kingsley, and others. While a release date is yet to be mentioned, the film will be released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. The makers have not revealed the plot and character details of the cast of Aghathiyaa. However, from the looks it, Aghathiyaa looks like an adventure thriller film.

The technical crew of Aghathiyaa includes Dipak Kumar Padhy as the cinematographer and San Lokesh is handling the edits. P Shanmugan is the art director. Besides directing the film, Pa Vijay has also served as the lyricist.

Meanwhile, Jiiva is currently expecting the release of Black, a thriller drama that will hit big screens on October 11. The film also stars Priya Bhavani Shankar in the lead role. Black is produced by Potential Studios and helmed by Balasubramani KG. The technical crew consists of Sam CS scoring the music and Philomin Raj handling the edits. Gokul Benoy has cranked the camera. The makers have not revealed the plot of the film.
