Filmibeat reports that John Abraham and Sadia Khateeb's film is projected to earn around Rs 5-6 crore on its third day. If that happens, the total for the first three days will be nearly Rs 15 crore. The official box office numbers for day three will be revealed by the producers tomorrow (March 17).

Brought to you by T-Series Films, JA Entertainment, Wakaoo Films, Seeta Films, and Fortune Pictures, The Diplomat dives into the complex dynamics of India-Pakistan relations. The film tells the tale of an Indian diplomat on a mission to bring back Uzma Ahmed, an Indian girl who was tricked into an unwanted marriage in Pakistan.

Sadia Khateeb connected with John Abraham through their shared love for bikes

Sadia Khateeb shared that she connected with her co-star John Abraham over their mutual love for motorcycles while filming The Diplomat. "When I first met him, I mentioned my passion for bikes, which started back in first grade when I saw Dhoom. I was totally captivated and stayed obsessed with bikes all through school. When I went to John sir’s place, he took me to his garage, and it was packed with the most amazing bikes," she recalled.

The actress added, "I kept pestering him about letting me ride one, but he just wouldn’t budge. I even joked around on set, saying, ‘If our movie does well, how about a bike as a gift?’ and he kindly said yes."

Once it finishes its time in theaters, The Diplomat will be available on Netflix. Typically, it takes about 45 to 60 days for a film to hit streaming platforms after its theatrical debut.
