It has been three years since Srinidhi Shetty appeared last on screen – her major films KGF: Chapter 2 and her Tamil debut Cobra (with Vikram) released in 2022 – so she is very excited about her upcoming project, HIT 3, which marks her first foray into Telugu cinema. In the film directed by Sailesh Kolanu, Srinidhi stars alongside actor-producer Nani, who takes on the role of a cop for the first time.

Being a huge admirer of Nani’s work, Srinidhi mentions that she had been wishing and praying for a chance to work with the Eega star, and had even taken the opportunity to introduce herself and share pleasantries during his visit to the set of what was originally intended to be her Telugu debut, Telusu Kada. When the offer for HIT 3 arrived, the actress states that she did not hesitate and chose to accept it regardless, even though the team traveled to Bengaluru to give her a narration.

Srinidhi Shetty: I didn't need a story to join HIT 3

“I was taken aback when they contacted me, but I reminded myself that if it’s a Nani film, I wouldn’t even require a narration and would be eager to participate regardless. They provided me with a narration, and typically I take a few days to respond about my decision on a film, but with HIT 3, I approved it instantly. I was incredibly thrilled to be involved in the film,” stated Srinidhi.

The actress notes that while collaborating with Nani was a dream realized, a pairing in a crime thriller was not what she envisioned. “I desired a lovely romantic drama, and although I didn’t quite receive that, within the crime thriller, there is a love story, so I got my share,” she remarked.

As her initial release in three years, Srinidhi is excited to witness her return to theaters once more when HIT 3 premieres on May 1, 2025, and she believes that this film offers a significantly more theatrical experience compared to the previous two films.
