Amid the ongoing furore over the rape and murder incident at RG Kar Medical and Hospital in Kolkata, director Pathikrit Basu will start shooting his next film on September 5. The film features Mithun Chakraborty, Anjana Basu, and Anjan Dutt in the key roles. This is the first time that Anjan Dutt and Mithun Chakraborty will share the screen. 

In fact, September 5 is the date when the Supreme Court will hear the update on the CBI investigation of the RG Kar incident. Will justice be delivered? Kolkata is buzzing with the protests. Celebrities along with common people are coming to the street. Why did Pathikrit choose such a day for the start of the shooting? Pathikrit told Anandabazar Online, “First, how long shall I stay without working?’ His second point was that Mithun gave him this time slot and has no time after this. Pathikrit said that they would shoot according to the situation and wish to finish the shooting this year.

The film talks of a couple who went to court in their middle age seeking divorce. But they did not get it after twenty-seven years. This procrastination grew love between them. Mithun and Anjana play the couple. 

The director said that Anjan plays the ‘ex’ of Anjana, who wants to go back to him after the divorce. There is a parallel love story of this generation, too. Parambrata Chatterjee and Madhumita Sarkar play that couple. Satyam Bhattacharya and Roshni Bhattacharya play the young age of the couple. Anjan will sing one song from the film.
