Srikanth, directed by Tushar Hiranandani, was released in theatres on May 10, 2024. The film stars Rajkummar Rao in the lead role. On its first day, the film made 2.25 crore in India, taking a slow start at the box office. However, the film saw a big jump on its second day by taking a solid 90% growth.

Srikanth also stars Jyothika, Alaya F, and Sarad Kelkar in prominent parts. It is based on the real-life story of visually handicapped industrialist Srikanth Bolla. On Saturday, Day 2, the film earned 4.25 crores. The total collection of the film now stands at 6.50 crore.

Because the film has a poor start at the box office, the big jump on its second day brings a lot of hope for the film. It seems like the second day of the weekend will also work in favor of the film and it might reach the 10-11 crore mark by the end of its first week. However, the real test for the film will start on the weekdays as that will decide the fate of the film.

With its inspirational story, Rajkummar won critics and audiences' hearts with his honest performance of Srikanth Bolla. The good word of mouth can work in favor of the film and only it can decide whether the film will be labeled as a 'hit' or not.

Earlier, while speaking to news agency PTI, Rajkummar Rao spoke about his dream role. He said, "I don't really plan. Whatever character, film I'm doing at that moment, that's (becomes) my dream role. I'm only focused on that character and that story. I'm sure there's much more ahead for me. Like, two-three years ago I didn't know that I would be able to do Srikanth, but it happened. (Today) There's more hunger in me as an actor, and there's more fire."

Meanwhile, Srikanth is the extraordinary story of Indian industrialist Srikanth Bolla. The film chronicles his life's hardships and how he created an empire providing work to those with disabilities.
