He expressed his immense excitement in a letter, sharing the announcement of Season 2's release date and details about Season 3, the last season. Next year, viewers will be able to witness the series finale of Season 3, in which the violent conflict between Gi-hun and Front Man's respective realms will go on.
Promises for the final season
Season 3 of Squid Game will continue in the same high-octane vein as its predecessors, as hinted at in Hwang's letter. The filmmaker makes a passing reference to Front Man's status as a formidable adversary and Gi-hun's surprising promise of vengeance on the game in Season 1.
