One particular theory suggested that In-ho (played by Lee Byung-Hun) would become one of the VIPs, and Gi-hun would take over as the Front Man.
Lee Byung-Hun quickly dismissed the idea, calling it imaginative but far from the truth. "This theory is very imaginative, but it is far from the actual story," he said. However, fans should keep in mind that actors in major franchises often have to mislead fans to avoid giving away critical plot details. What We Know About Squid Game Season 2
Set three years after the events of the first season, Squid Game Season 2 throws Gi-hun back into the deadly game. The newly released trailer reveals that Gi-hun chose not to go to the States and returns with a new resolve. The official Season 2 synopsis states: “Three years after winning Squid Game, Player 456 gave up going to the States and comes back with a new resolution in his mind. Gi-hun once again dives into the mysterious survival game, starting another life-or-death game with new participants gathered to win the prize of 45.6 billion won.”
