Prabhas is currently on a high with the massive success of his latest outing, Kalki 2898 AD. The Telugu superstar has an exciting line-up of upcoming projects, including the upcoming installments of Kalki cinematic universe, Raja Saab, and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit. As per the reports, the pan-Indian star is planning to kickstart the filming of Spirit by the beginning of January 2025. If the reports are to be believed, Prabhas is playing a double role in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film.

Prabhas to play a double role in Spirit?

According to the grapevine, Prabhas is set to play yet another double role in his career, in the upcoming Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial. If the reports are to be believed, the Telugu superstar is set to play both the protagonist and the antagonist in Spirit, which is touted to be an action thriller. In that case, the much-awaited project will mark Prabhas’ first-ever experiment with an out-and-out negative character.

The protagonist's character is touted to be a cop, while the details of the antagonist are still kept under wraps. The grapevine also suggests that the villain of the film, played by Prabhas himself, will only make an entry in the interval block. However, none of these reports are officially confirmed by the Spirit team members, yet. But, the fans of the Kalki 2898 AD actor the Telugu cine-goers are highly excited for his first collaboration with Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

Prabhas’ Spirit: Budget and release plans

The grapevine also suggest that the highly anticipated Prabhas starrer is being made in a whopping budget of over Rs. 300 crore. The movie, which is expected to go on floors by the first week of January 2025, is expected to be shot in multiple schedules that might go on for over two years. If the reports are to be believed, Spirit will hit the theatres only by the final quarter of 2026, mostly in December, as a Christmas 2026 special release.
