One project that has particularly captured attention is Spider-Man 4, which marks Tom Holland’s return as Peter Parker in the MCU. With unparalleled anticipation surrounding the movie, fans are eager to know what’s happening and if any of the rumors hold any truth. Now, it seems Tom Holland has taken it upon himself to reveal that he’s read the script—and it’s really good. 

Tom Holland on Spider-Man 4 Script

Tom Holland will reprise his role as Peter Parker in the MCU for the fourth time in a standalone movie. Rumors suggest that the film will explore the Multiverse, much like Spider-Man: No Way Home, with Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton at the helm. However, no official updates had been shared for quite some time—until now. Holland recently revealed that both he and Zendaya read an early draft of the script about three weeks ago.

According to Comic Book Movie, Tom Holland said the draft really got him excited: “It needs work, but the writers are doing a great job,” Holland shared. “I read it three weeks ago, and it really lit a fire in me. Zendaya and I sat down, read it together, and we were bouncing around the living room at times.”

Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield to Return?

Since the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, fans have been clamoring to know when Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield might return to the MCU. Rumors have linked Maguire to Avengers: Secret Wars and Garfield to the next Spider-Man film. Now, according to Alex Perez of The Cosmic Circus, both Maguire and Garfield are likely to have extended roles in Spider-Man 4. “There is a very strong possibility they show up for an extended role this time around,” Perez shared.

This means we’ll likely see a lot more of Maguire and Garfield in Spider-Man 4. The scooper also revealed that Tom Holland’s Peter Parker will battle multiple symbiotes and don the iconic symbiote suit, which may carry over into the next few films. “He will get the symbiote suit in the next few years and may keep it for the next couple of Spidey films,” Perez stated. This development makes sense, as it sets the stage for Avengers: Secret Wars and hints at a potential crossover with Tom Hardy’s Venom.
