On December 13, the much-anticipated sequel to the 2013 movie Soodhu Kavvum, called Soodhu Kavvum 2: Naatum Naatu Makkalum, is ready to make its debut in theaters. The cast includes Shiva, Harisha, Radha Ravi, Karunakaran, M.S. Bhaskar, Karate Karthi, Raghu, Yog Japee, Aruldoss, Kalki, Kavi, and more. Soodhu Kavvum is a dark comedy flick that marks the directorial debut of Nalan Kumarasamy. The movie features a talented cast including Vijay Sethupathi, Bobby Simha, Ashok Selvan, Ramesh Thilak, Karunakaran, and Sanchita Shetty. The plot centers on a group of kidnappers who plan to snatch a politician's son, who ironically is already scheming to fake his own kidnapping to squeeze some cash out of his dad. Upon its release, Soodhu Kavvum became a hot topic of conversation and was later remade in various languages, such as Gaddam Gang in Telugu and Chupan Chupai in Urdu.

Soodhu Kavvum 2 is bringing in a fresh cast and crew this time around. Directed by SJ Arjun, it’s got a U/A certification. The project is being produced by Thirukumaran Entertainment and Thangam Cinemas. On the technical side, Karthik K Thillai is handling the cinematography, while Ignatious Aswin takes care of the editing.

The trailer just dropped, giving us a glimpse of the politician's son, played by Karunakaran as G Arumai Pragasam, who takes the spotlight.
