The final film of the late actor Song Jae-rim, titled Crypto Man, is scheduled for release next year, following his passing. According to Soompi, Crypto Man is set to premiere in theatres on January 15, 2025. The film's production team has revealed a new poster and has officially announced the release date.

Jae-rim portrays the character Yang Do Hyun in the film, serving as the main character and a self-styled business prodigy who creates a virtual currency known as MOMMY. The cast includes An Woo Yeon, Min Sung Wook, So Hee Jung, and Cha Jung Won. The film is directed by Hyun Hae-ri, whose previous work, Nine Times Fired, garnered recognition at the Cannes International Drama Festival. Crypto Man draws inspiration from the real events surrounding the cryptocurrency market collapse.

Jae-rim gained recognition for his performances in K-dramas, including Moon Embracing the Sun and Queen Woo. Tragically, he was discovered deceased at his residence in Seoul last month, at the age of 39. According to South Korea’s Yonhap news agency, which cited unnamed police sources, authorities located a note at his home.
He made his acting debut in the 2009 film Actresses and achieved widespread acclaim for his portrayal of a royal guard in the 2012 television sensation Moon Embracing the Sun, a fantasy drama centred on the love story between a medieval Korean monarch and a female shaman.
In 2014, he also participated in the celebrity reality series We Got Married. This year, he took on a supporting role in the streaming drama Queen Woo, another fantasy series that explores violent power struggles among royals in an ancient kingdom.
