Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt's Son of Sardaar 2 is all set to be made. While Ajay and Sanjay have reunited for the film, actress Mrunal Thakur has been reportedly roped in as the leading lady. The latest development on Son of Sardaar 2 is that Ajay and Sanjay's humorous rivalry will turn intense. Dutt's character in the Vijay Kumar Arora directorial will lean towards the antagonist side. Apart from that, the sequel will have a fresh story. It won't start from where Son of Sardaar ended.

Ajay Devgn vs Sanjay Dutt in Son of Sardaar 2

According to a Mid-Day report, Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt might not reprise their roles but will just stick to the character names from Son of Sardaar. In the second installment, which is Son of Sardaar 2, Devgn and Dutt's dynamics will be different. 

"While the two were at loggerheads with hilarious results in Son of Sardaar, this time, their rivalry will be intense, with Sanjay’s role leaning towards the antagonist. Off-screen, the two actors are close friends, and Ajay has made sure that Sanjay has a fantastic role in the second part," a source told the tabloid.

Son of Sardaar 2's Scotland schedule

The report further suggests that Ajay, Sanjay, and Mrunal will be heading to Scotland for a 50-day schedule of Son of Sardaar 2. The makers had reportedly done recce for locations earlier this year. And they finalized towns like Glencoe and Glenfinnan for the shoot. That said, the Son of Sardaar 2 makers have also sites like Culross Palace, Doune Castle, Preston Mill, and Falkland Palace for the shoot.

Besides that, some romantic songs of Ajay and Mrunal will be filmed at the picturesque locations of Scotland. Once this schedule is completed, Ajay will begin filming for De De Pyaar De 2 in London.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ajay's next theatrical release is going to be Singham Again. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the film will be released in cinemas on Diwali 2024.
