Pranam Devaraj, the younger son of Dynamic Star Devaraj, is gearing up for the release of his third film, S/O Muthanna. Directed by Srikanth Hunsoor, the film revolves around the bond between a father and son, played by Rangayana Raghu and Pranam. The teaser of the film, which has now been released, has Pranam doting on his father, a former army man, whom he lovingly calls “Captain”.

Much of the teaser is dedicated to establishing how close father and son are and hints at Rangayana Raghu being a single dad. So, naturally, when tragedy strikes and the senior Muthanna is hospitalized, the son’s world comes crashing down. This is as much as the team has revealed at this point.

Reel S/O Muthanna inspired by the real son of Muthanna

The teaser was launched by Hattrick Hero Shivarajkumar, who, despite his current ailment, did the honors, given his close bond with the Devaraj family. The actor, whose films often revolved around mother-son or brother-sister sentiments, expressed happiness that a film about a father-son relationship had been made. In fact, the title S/O Muthanna is inspired by the Shivarajkumar film Muthanna, as the makers have been vocal about their admiration for the Century Star.

Pranam explains that the beauty of S/O Muthanna is that it explores how a man changes after he becomes a father. From being a normal person with flaws, overnight, a man takes on multiple hats, as a role model, a teacher, a storyteller, etc. ‘S/O Muthanna attempts to capture this beautiful bond,” he adds.

Kushee Ravi, the leading lady of the film, adds that S/O Muthanna is not only about the relationship between Pranam and Rangayana Raghu but also her character Sakshi’s bond with her father, as well as with Pranam. It’s a pure family entertainer that’s high on emotions, she added.

The cast of S/O Muthanna also includes, Suchendra Prasad, Giri Shivanna, Tabala Nani, Srinivas Prabhu, Sudha Belawadi, and Arun Chakraborty, among others.
