In March of this year, Sajid Nadiadwala and Salman Khan officially announced Sikandar, their biggest collaboration to date. Shortly after, the producer cast Rashmika Mandanna as the film's female protagonist, turning Sikandar into a pan-India extravaganza that showcased the skills of bringing artists across the country.

Sikandar reunion and on-set dynamics

After Kick, an Eid smash hit in 2014, Salman and Nadiadwala reunite in Sikandar. The behind-the-scenes photo, featuring Salman, Sajid, and the director, AR Murugadoss, laughing on set, sets the forthcoming schedule in motion.

During the Eid 2025 weekend, the action performer guarantees an unprecedented cinematic adventure.

Salman Khan's role evolution

Meanwhile, according to Pinkvilla, Sikandar would reportedly showcase Salman in his most heroic role yet, deviating from his typical good-boy image with hints of rawness.

The heroic persona makes the most of the onscreen air of casual haughtiness. Being born into a royal family and displaying characteristics of haughtiness and wrath make him a genuine Sikandar.

For Eid 2025, according to a source, Salman will portray an avatar that the audience adores. The character is performance-driven and has plenty of room for strong emotions; it's the last time we saw him in a bad boy role, which was in Sultan's subplot.

Creative vision and production excitement

Meanwhile, the source also revealed to the entertainment portal that the script calls for a new pairing, so Nadiadwala was trying to find one. He briefed Rashmika on it, and the actor was enthusiastic about the film's direction and the creative team's vision, including Murugadoss and the producer.

The source went on to say that a fantastic story causes a flood of emotions and drama to spill out. Both Salman and Rashmika are thrilled to be starring in the film, and they can't wait to start shooting in June because of the script's positive message.

The film marks Murugadoss' return to Bollywood after nine years; his last directorial was Akira, starring Sonakshi Sinha in the titular role, released in 2016.
