Jaat worldwide box office collection day 1: Sunny Deol's film Jaat was promoted as a pan-India entertainer. Positioned as a mass action film, it was anticipated to elevate Sunny's popularity following the success of Gadar 2 in 2023. However, the box office performance has not been favorable for the film directed by Gopichand Malineni. It opened to a lackluster reception, barely exceeding the ₹10 crore mark globally on its first day.

On its opening day, Jaat's worldwide box office collection reached ₹13 crore, according to industry sources. The film's production company, Mythri Movie Makers, announced its domestic earnings on Instagram on Friday afternoon, revealing that Jaat grossed ₹11.60 crore in India on its first day. Industry insiders indicate that the film earned less than $200,000 overseas (approximately ₹1.50 crore), resulting in a total worldwide collection of ₹13 crore on day one, which is considered disappointing. Trade tracker Sacnilk reported that the film experienced an occupancy rate of only about 10-12% across India on its opening day.

How Jaat fares against other Bollywood biggies

Jaat premiered in theaters just one week after another major action film, Salman Khan's Sikandar. However, it has struggled to compete, as Sikandar debuted with a worldwide gross of ₹54 crore, which is four times the opening day earnings of Jaat. In fact, Jaat's initial performance was even weaker than that of Akshay Kumar's Sky Force, which garnered over ₹15 crore in January. Given that both Sikandar and Sky Force had been perceived as having lackluster openings, Jaat faces significant challenges ahead. The film now relies on positive word of mouth for any potential recovery.

Directed by Gopichand Malineni in his first Hindi film, Jaat features a cast that includes Regina Cassandra, Randeep Hooda, Vineet Kumar Singh, Saiyami Kher, Ramya Krishnan, and Jagapathi Babu.
