Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya's aerial action film, Sky Force, has recently premiered in theatres. The film, directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kelwani, is inspired by India's inaugural airstrike during the Sargodha airbase attack in Pakistan amid the Indo-Pakistani air war of 1965. Prior to its release, Sky Force drew comparisons to Siddharth Anand's Fighter, which features Hrithik Roshan. In light of these comparisons, director Abhishek has now shared his thoughts.

Director Abhishek Anil Kapur addresses the comparison of his film with Fighter

In a discussion with, director Abhishek Anil Kapur expressed that it is natural for filmmakers to feel some trepidation regarding their projects, especially when a prominent director like Siddharth Anand collaborates with a star such as Hrithik Roshan.

Upon our first viewing of Fighter, a sense of relief washed over us, and I found myself untroubled by any potential comparisons. Both films feature protagonists who are Air Force pilots; however, this similarity does not imply that the films are identical. One does not typically compare Dabangg and Singham, does one? The creators of Fighter have crafted an exceptional narrative and thrilling action sequences. In contrast, our action choreography and storyline were entirely distinct, as I conveyed to the entertainment portal.

The filmmaker also expressed gratitude for the audience's affection towards Sky Force and its commercial achievements. He noted that the positive reception of the film serves as a significant reward. "While we certainly desire strong box office numbers, which provide reassurance of a film's commercial success, the overwhelming love we are receiving from various audiences is truly gratifying," he remarked.

For those unfamiliar, Akshay and Veer's aerial action film garnered Rs 119.50 crore in India within just ten days of its release in theatres.
