Sky Force Box Office Day: Akshay Kumar's prolific work ethic is well-known among his fans and the Hindi film audience. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, he boasts one of the most extensive filmographies, having completed nearly ten films. Nevertheless, his box office appeal has not been as robust as it once was, with many of his recent releases failing to achieve profitability. This period of underperformance persisted for two years, concluding this week with the release of Sky Force. This film, featuring co-star Veer Pahariya, has now become Kumar's second-highest-grossing film since the pandemic.
Sky Force Box Office
It is quite remarkable to observe the strong performance of Sky Force, particularly in light of the competition posed by Emergency and Azaad, which are still showing in theatres. The film has successfully carved out its own space, overshadowing both competitors despite their association with prominent stars. As of the conclusion of its first week, Sky Force has achieved a noteworthy financial milestone, ranking as the second highest-grossing film in Akshay Kumar’s post-pandemic career.
On the seventh day, which marked the first Thursday of its release, the film generated Rs 5.50 crores, bringing its total earnings to Rs 86.50 crores, according to Sacnilk. Consequently, Sky Force has established itself as the second highest-grossing film of Akshay Kumar since the world began to recover from the pandemic, with Rohit Shetty’s Sooryanvanshi holding the top position. It will be intriguing to observe the new records this film may set in the future.

Akshay Kumar’s Box Office Run Revived
Since the onset of the pandemic, Akshay Kumar has launched more than ten films, such as Sarfira, Sooryavanshi, Khel Khel Mein, Singham Again, Bachchhan Pandey, and Bell Bottom. Nevertheless, with the exception of a few, the majority of these films did not achieve significant success. Currently, with the release of Sky Force, he has managed to regain some traction. The film debuted with over ₹70 crore, marking it as his third-largest opener since the pandemic.

The only two films that have outperformed Sky Force are Sooryavanshi, which earned ₹26.29 crore on its opening day, and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, with a first-day collection of ₹16.07 crore. Sky Force debuted with ₹15.3 crore and has exhibited a consistent performance at the box office, in contrast to Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, which experienced a swift decline in earnings.
Sky Force (150K) has exceeded the pre-sales figures of Akshay Kumar’s previous five films, which include OMG 2 (90K), Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (65K), Khel Khel Mein (29K), Mission Raniganj (11K), and Sarfira (10K).
