We had earlier reported that actor Sivakarthikeyan will be joining hands with filmmaker AR Murugadoss for a film tentatively titled SK 23. The makers on Sunday, announced on social media that actor Vidyut Jammwal is onboard the film.

The makers on Sunday announced that actor Vidyut Jammwal has joined the sets of the upcoming Tamil film starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role. The makers released a new video showing the behind-the-scenes from the shooting spot. Soon we see Vidyut joining the sets from his vanity van.

It is to be noted that SK 23 will mark Vidyut's comeback to Tamil cinema after a decade. The actor was last seen in Tamil opposite Suriya in Anjaan which released in 2014. It is to be noted that Vidyut became a popular face in the Tamil industry after he played the antagonist in AR Murugadoss' 2012 action drama Thuppakki opposite Vijay. Vidyut was last seen in Hindi film Crakk.

Directed by AR Murugadoss in his first collaboration with Sivakarthikeyan, SK 23 has Rukmini Vasanth playing the female lead. Anirudh Ravichander will be scoring the music for the film. The film is expected to be a mass entertainer. Sivakarthikeyan had earlier revealed that the film will give him more scope to perform. The shooting for the film began in February. A release date for SK 23 is yet to be announced. SK 23 is shot by cinematographer Sudeep Elamon with Sreekar Prasad as the editor.

Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan will be next seen in Amaran directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy. The film is backed by Kamal Haasan under Raaj Kamal Films International and is a biopic of Mukund Varadarajan, who was a commissioned officer in the Indian Army's Rajput Regiment. He was posthumously awarded the Ashok Chakra for his operation with the 44th Rashtriya Rifles battalion. A release date is yet to be announced for Amaran.
