Adam Sandler teases exciting updates for ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ and Baseball Film

First up, Adam Sandler fans, you're in for a treat! Our favourite comedy legend is cooking up not one, but two big projects. In a recent interview, Sandler dropped the bomb that Benny Safdie, his Uncut Gems co-director, is on board for Happy Gilmore 2, which is currently in the works over at Netflix. Oh, and guess what? Christopher McDonald, aka Shooter McGavin, has seen the script, and let’s just say, the excitement is through the roof!

And that’s not all – Sandler’s also working on a baseball film with none other than Megan Thee Stallion. Now, this one’s been delayed due to the industry strikes, but Sandler assures us it’s still very much happening with a ‘crazy, cool script’ in development. These two projects are shaping up to be absolute crackers!

Lana Parrilla joins John Grisham's ‘The Rainmaker’ TV adaptation

Now, for all you legal drama lovers, listen up! Lana Parrilla, who you might remember as The Evil Queen from Once Upon A Time, is set to star in USA Network's adaptation of John Grisham’s The Rainmaker. She’ll be playing Jocelyn ‘Bruiser’ Stone, a street-smart attorney with a bit of an edge. With Michael Seitzman at the helm as showrunner, this one promises to be a fresh and thrilling take on the classic Grisham tale. Keep your eyes peeled for this one, folks!

'Top Gun' and 'Gilded Age' stars join Sarah Snook in her new series

Moving on to some casting news that's got us buzzing – the upcoming series All Her Fault has just added some serious star power! Top Gun: Maverick’s Jay Ellis and The Gilded Age’s Thomas Cocquerel are joining the cast alongside the incredibly talented Sarah Snook. The series is based on Andrea Mara’s best-selling novel and follows a mother’s worst nightmare as her child goes missing. It's currently filming in Melbourne, so we'll have to wait a bit longer, but it's one to watch for sure. And hey, if you’re missing Jay Ellis already, you can catch him in Top Gun: Maverick on Netflix.

'Bosch' spin-off starring Maggie Q to expand the universe in 2025

For all the Bosch fans out there, we’ve got some exciting news! Titus Welliver, our beloved Harry Bosch, has teased an early 2025 release for a new spin-off series starring Maggie Q as Detective Renée Ballard. This series will dive into cold cases with gripping storylines, and don’t worry, Harry Bosch will be back as Ballard’s retired ally. With John Carroll Lynch and Courtney Taylor also joining the cast, this is definitely one to add to your watchlist. Production is already in full swing, so stay tuned!

Netflix to reimagine 'The Picture of Dorian Gray' in new series

Next, Netflix is bringing a fresh twist to Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray. This reimagining, penned by siblings Katie Rose Rogers and Robbie Rogers, is set to breathe new life into the classic gothic tale. Expect all the vanity and moral decay of the original, but with a contemporary edge. Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Discovery are behind the series, and while there’s no release date yet, it’s already got us intrigued!

Anya Taylor-Joy to star in Netflix's dark comedy 'How to Kill Your Family'

And here’s a bit of dark comedy to look forward to – Anya Taylor-Joy is set to star in How to Kill Your Family, a Netflix series based on Bella Mackie’s novel. Taylor-Joy will play Grace, a forgotten child of a billionaire with a pretty twisted plan for revenge. Expect a blend of brutal humour and violence as she embarks on her mission. With no release date announced just yet, we’ll just have to wait, but if it’s anything like her previous roles, this is going to be one wild ride!

Kelly Reilly takes on a new role in crime thriller 'Under Salt Marsh'

In other news, Kelly Reilly, who you might know as Beth Dutton from Yellowstone, is trading the Wild West for the wilds of Wales in the upcoming crime thriller Under Salt Marsh. Created by Claire Oakley, the series follows former detective Jackie Ellis as she unravels a cold case in the fictional town of Morfa Halen. With production kicking off later this year, we’re excited to see Reilly in this new, gritty role!

Anaconda Reboot: Jack Black and Paul Rudd set to star in comedic horror twist

And now a bit of nostalgia with a twist – remember the 1997 cult classic Anaconda? Well, it’s getting a reboot, but this time with a comedic spin! Jack Black and Paul Rudd are reportedly in talks to star in this new version, where a group of friends in the middle of a mid-life crisis decides to remake their favourite movie. Things take a wild turn when they actually encounter giant snakes in the rainforest. With Tom Gormican, the man behind The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, directing, this reboot promises to be a hilarious, yet terrifying adventure!

Thriller novel 'The Paris Widow' to become TV series in exciting new deal

Lastly, Kimberly Belle’s thriller novel The Paris Widow is set to be adapted into a TV series. Thanks to a first-look deal between Little Bell Productions and Universal Television, this gripping story of a dream vacation turned deadly in Paris is coming to the small screen. With Brittany A. Little and Larissa Bell leading the charge, along with the author herself, we’re in for a thrilling, romance-filled ride.
