Actor Sivakarthikeyan whose recent film Amaran has become a blockbuster success and collecting over Rs 300 crore, is all set to join hands with filmmaker Sudha Kongara. Even as the makers have not yet announced officially, it is nearly confirmed that after Suriya left the project with the filmmaker which was tentatively called Suriya 43, Sudha Kongara has approached Sivakarthikeyan to play the role. Now, it looks like the filmmaker is building a team from scratch, with known faces set to galore the cast list.

Sudha Kongara will be marking her first time working with Sivakarthikeyan, which will be the 25th project of the latter. With Suriya out of the project, the film has landed on the lap of Amaran actor.

Earlier when Suriya 43 was announced, along with Suriya, actors Dulquer Salmaan, Nazriya Fahadh and Vijay Verma were also announced as part of the cast. However, it looks like the whole cast is being replaced. Actors like Sreeleela (in her Tamil debut), Jayam Ravi (as the antagonist) and Atharvaa are expected to join the film instead. GV Prakash Kumar who was initially announced as music composer, will be retaining his position and will work with Sudha Kongara after Soorarai Pottru. An official announcement on the cast is yet to be made by the makers.

What is Sivakarthikeyan currently working on now?

Sivakarthikeyan, who is fresh off Amaran success, is currently working with filmmaker AR Murugadoss for SK 23. The film is said to be character-driven, while the plot has not yet been revealed. Actors Rukmini Vasanth, Vikranth, Biju Menon, Vidyut Jammwal and others were announced to be part of the cast. A release date has not yet been announced.

Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan is also expected to join hands with director Cibi Chakravarthy. The duo has earlier worked in campus comedy film Don, which is available for streaming on Netflix.
