Sikandar worldwide box office collection day 3: One of the most eagerly awaited films of the year, Salman Khan's Sikandar, premiered in theaters on March 30. The action-thriller received a mixed reception from viewers, generating ₹26 crore on its opening day. The film is now approaching the ₹150 crore milestone.

Sikandar's worldwide collection

The producers report that Salman's film generated a gross of ₹27.16 crore in India on its first Tuesday and ₹8.10 crore globally, bringing the domestic total to ₹102 crore and the worldwide earnings to ₹141.15 crore. In contrast, the trade tracking platform indicates that Sikandar earned ₹19.5 crore on its third day, resulting in a cumulative total of ₹74.5 crore in India and ₹123.75 crore globally. These figures appear underwhelming when juxtaposed with Salman's previous Eid releases, many of which achieved blockbuster status.

Notably, Sikandar has surpassed the lifetime earnings of Laal Singh Chaddha, which totaled ₹133 crore. The Aamir Khan film failed to recoup its production costs and is regarded as one of the significant flops of his career, although it later gained a following on Netflix.

Salman had anticipated that regardless of whether Sikandar was well-received or not, it would still generate ₹100–200 crore at the box office. At the trailer launch event, he remarked, "Eid, Diwali, New Year, festive or non-festive—it’s the affection of the audience. Whether the film is good or bad, it will definitely cross ₹100 crore." He later amended his statement, asserting that this film would exceed ₹200 crore, stating, "₹100 crore is an outdated benchmark."

About Sikandar

Helmed by AR Murugadoss, renowned for his work on Ghajini, and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, this film signifies Salman’s comeback to cinemas after the disappointing performance of his previous release, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.

Nevertheless, Sikandar appears to have fallen short of audience expectations. Some viewers have expressed dissatisfaction with its uninspired plot, while others have been let down by the visual presentation. The cast also includes notable performances from Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, Sharman Joshi, and Prateik Babbar in significant roles.
