Sikandar box office earnings on day 8: After a two-year hiatus, Salman Khan made his return with an Eid release; however, his film Sikandar has not quite fulfilled the expectations of fans and viewers. According to the latest box office update from Sacnilk.com, the film has successfully crossed the ₹100 crore mark in India on its eighth day of release.
Sikandar box office update
According to the data presented in the report, Sikandar garnered ₹4.25 crore on its eighth day of release, bringing its total earnings over the first eight days to ₹102 crore net. The film experienced a modest increase in revenue due to the weekend audience turnout. Sikandar debuted with ₹26 crore, which was significantly lower than Chhaava's opening of ₹31 crore. By the conclusion of its first week, Sikandar had accumulated ₹90.25 crore.
In the meantime, Sikandar is approaching the ₹200 crore milestone at the global box office. As reported by the film's production company, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Sikandar achieved a gross of ₹187.84 crore worldwide during its first seven days.
About Sikandar
Directed by AR Murugadoss, Sikandar is an action-thriller featuring prominent performances from Salman Khan, Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, and Prateik Babbar.
The film was unfortunately leaked online just hours prior to its scheduled release. According to Nahta, "The producer had the authorities take down the film from 600 websites last night, but the damage was already done. The spread continued and is still ongoing. This reprehensible act could have significant financial repercussions for the producer of the Salman-starrer."
A review excerpt from the Hindustan Times stated, “Salman continues to dominate action sequences with confidence. His mere presence on the battlefield conveys his seriousness. However, Murugadoss’ subpar direction diminishes Salman’s performance, making him seem less capable than he truly is. Additionally, Rashmika struggles with her dialogue delivery, lacking conviction, and there are few moments in the film that allow her to improve her portrayal.”
