Sikandar box office collection day 7: AR Murugadoss’ The film Sikandar, featuring Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna, experienced a rocky debut at the box office. As reported by Sacnilk, it has garnered a net collection of ₹97.03 crore in India during its opening week.

The trade website has indicated that Sikandar generated an estimated net revenue of ₹3.28 crore in India on Saturday, bringing its total net earnings over the past week to ₹97.03 crore. The film experienced a lackluster opening of ₹26 crore and accumulated ₹90.25 crore during its first five days. Despite being released on a Sunday, there were hopes for improved performance over the weekend. However, on Friday, Sikandar's earnings fell to ₹3.5 crore, reflecting a decline of 41.67%.
As reported by the filmmakers, Sikandar has garnered ₹178.16 crore globally within six days. Given that this is a film featuring Salman Khan, these figures are underwhelming. In comparison, Salman's previous release, Tiger 3, achieved a net collection of ₹219.4 crore in India by its seventh day, while Sikandar has just barely crossed the ₹100 crore mark. Fortunately, the film is not trailing behind Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which earned ₹90.15 crore in its opening week. With Monday on the horizon, it will be interesting to observe the film's total earnings over its lifetime.
About Sikandar
Apart from Salman and Rashmika, Sikandar also stars Sathyaraj, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Prateik Babbar, Kishore, Jatin Sarna and Sanjay Kapoor. In the film, Salman plays a king called Sanjay Rajkot, who is married to Rashmika’s Saisri. He faces off against a corrupt politician and his son.
The film received lukewarm reviews upon release, with critics and the audience not liking the story. The HT review of the film summed it up with, “Overall, Sikandar is not the Eidi Salman used to promise to his legion of fans.”
