Actor Salman Khan has revealed the release date for his upcoming action drama, Sikandar, which features Rashmika Mandanna in a prominent role. He made the announcement via Instagram.

Salman Khan announces Sikandar's release date

Sikandar is scheduled to premiere in theaters on March 30. Alongside a promotional poster, Salman stated, "See you in theatres worldwide on 30th March! #Sikandar #SajidNadiadwala's #Sikandar Directed by @a.r.murugadoss." The film's release coincides with festivals such as Gudi Padwa and Ugadi, which celebrate the start of the new year in Maharashtra and South India.

About Sikandar's runtime

Directed by AR Murugadoss, known for his successful Tamil and Hindi films like Ghajini and Thuppakki, he discussed the film's runtime with Pinkvilla. “The first half of Sikandar runs for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, while the second half is around 1 hour and 5 minutes. The total runtime is about 2 hours and 20 minutes,” Murugadoss explained.

The cast also includes Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, Sharman Joshi, Prateik Babbar, Anjini Dhawan, and Jatin Sarna. The final shooting schedule for Sikandar took place in Mumbai, with filming spanning 90 days across various locations, including Mumbai and Hyderabad. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, this project marks Salman's collaboration with him following their successful 2014 film, Kick.

Recently, Salman unveiled an exciting teaser for his action-packed film. The teaser, lasting one minute and 21 seconds, introduced Salman's character, Sanjay, affectionately referred to as Sikandar by his grandmother. The footage showcased Salman's dynamic persona, featuring intense action scenes and impactful dialogues.

Salman was last seen in the 2023 film Tiger 3, alongside Katrina Kaif. This action thriller, directed by Maneesh Sharma, also stars Emraan Hashmi. Additionally, he made a cameo appearance in Baby John, directed by Kalees, which features Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, Zara Zyanna, and Jackie Shroff.
