Sikandar box office collection day 2: The film featuring Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna experienced a tepid response at the box office, receiving a blend of reviews from viewers. Released on March 30, the film seemed to benefit from the Eid celebrations, resulting in a modest increase in ticket sales and a bit of momentum for the action-packed feature.

Sikandar box office report

As reported by Sacnilk.com, the film experienced a significant increase in box office revenue on Monday, amassing ₹29 crore. This boost raised the film's total earnings to ₹55 crore, with the second day's performance surpassing that of the first. On its opening day, Sikandar generated ₹26 crore.

On Monday, the overall occupancy rate for Hindi films was recorded at 21.75 percent. In terms of audience turnout, the morning show attracted 8.38 percent of viewers, while the afternoon shows saw a footfall of 26.70 percent, and the evening shows reached 30.18 percent.

Sikandar's opening day figures did not set any records, falling short of Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava, which earned ₹31 crore on its debut. Globally, the film launched with ₹54 crore, marking one of the actor's lowest openings in recent years.

About Sikandar

Salman has made his return to the cinema for the first time since 2023 with the film Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss. The cast includes notable actors such as Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, and Sharman Joshi in significant roles. This marks Salman's first Eid release in two years, with Sikandar premiering in theaters on Sunday, March 30.

According to a review by Hindustan Times, both the screenplay and direction by AR Murugadoss are described as exceedingly uninspired. The review notes, “The film opens with Salman’s entrance, leaving little to anticipate afterward, as the scenes feel hurried, particularly in the first half. The editing by Vivek Harshan is disjointed. It is suggested that the film could have introduced an intriguing twist by exploring the reasons behind Sikandar's desire to protect three specific individuals, akin to the narrative development in Salman’s own Sultan (2015). The second half could have served as the revelation. The emotional resonance is absent due to the straightforward narrative approach, resembling a simplified version of a traditional masala film. While I am a reviewer and not the director, I feel compelled to highlight how Sikandar could have been improved,” the review concludes.
