Typically, trade analysts are the ones who forecast Box Office earnings for films, but this time, it was a leading actor stepping up to make a prediction. Salman Khan, during the trailer launch of Sikandar last night, confidently stated that his upcoming movie will surpass the Rs. 200 crore mark, dismissing the Rs. 100 crore club. So far in 2025, the only film to exceed that threshold is Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava, which has already raked in over Rs. 500 crores at the Box Office.

Check out what Salman Khan shared during the launch of the Sikandar trailer...

Salman Khan and his fans are hopeful that Sikandar will have a blockbuster opening at the Box Office, targeting 200 crores due to its Eid release

Salman Khan's fans are confident about the success of Sikandar since it's being released on Eid, and he believes that his supporters will push the film past the Rs. 200 crore mark. "Whether it's Eid, Diwali, New Year, or any other occasion, it's all about the love from the audience. Regardless of whether the movie is good or bad, they always manage to help it cross Rs. 100 crore. Hitting Rs. 100 crore is old news," he mentioned during the trailer launch.

Fact check: Not all of Salman Khan's films have crossed the Rs 100 crore mark since COVID

Salman was likely talking about Tiger 3, which didn't get the best reception overall. The film made Rs. 282.79 crore at the Box Office, but it's important to mention that its production budget was Rs. 300 crore.

Since 2021, every Salman Khan film has faced challenges at the box office. His earlier releases, such as Antim (2021) and Radhe (2021), brought in Rs. 58.5 crore and Rs. 18.33 crore, respectively. Even his latest movie, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, fell short of the Rs. 200 crore mark, grossing only Rs. 184.6 crore globally.

Sikandar Overview

Sikandar, featuring Salman Khan in his first collaboration with AR Murugadoss and Rashmika Mandanna, is set to hit theaters on a Sunday instead of the typical Friday. This change is due to Eid being on a Monday (March 31). The film, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, also includes Kajal Aggarwal in an important role.
